ston Martin, known for its legendary sports cars, is ready to make a splash with its latest addition to the line-up - the Aston MartinDB12. This grand tourer is set to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the esteemed DB line and the remarkable 110th anniversary of the Aston Martin brand.

 

Scheduled for deliveries in the third quarter of 2023, theAston Martin DB12 brings forth an exciting shift in powertrain. Unlike its predecessor, the DB11, which featured a twin-turbocharged V12 engine, the DB12boasts a powerful twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8. This impressive engine generates an astounding 500kW of power at 6000rpm and a torque of 800Nm between 2750 and6000rpm. It's worth noting that these figures are a significant improvement compared to the DBS, with an increase of 22kW, and the V12 DB11 AMR, with a substantial boost of 53kW and 100Nm.

 

The performance of the DB12 is nothing short of exhilarating. With a 0-100km/h time of just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of325km/h, this grand tourer delivers an electrifying driving experience. To enhance the acceleration and responsiveness, Aston Martin has fine-tuned the eight-speed automatic transmission, incorporating a shortened final drive ratio. Innovation takes centre stage in the Aston Martin DB12, with the introduction of a brand-first electronic rear differential. This cutting-edge technology allows for seamless transition from 0 to 100 percent locked differential in milliseconds, enabling enhanced traction and stability during high-performance driving.

Under the hood, Aston Martin has employed a range ofmodifications to achieve the remarkable power outputs. These include modifiedcam profiles, optimized compression ratios, and larger diameter turbochargers.Cooling has also been significantly improved, with the addition of twoauxiliary coolers to the main radiator and enhanced thermal airflow through a56 percent increase in open apertures.

 

To provide a thrilling and customizable driving experience,the DB12 features an all-new suspension system equipped with the latestadaptive dampers. Aston Martin has increased the bandwidth of forcedistribution by a remarkable 500 percent, resulting in improved handling andcontrol. The DB12 offers four electronic stability program modes and fiveselectable drive modes: Wet, GT, Sport, Sports Plus, and Individual. Thesesettings allow drivers to tailor the driving characteristics to theirpreferences, making every journey a truly personal one.

 

The Aston Martin DB12's design is a testament to eleganceand aerodynamic prowess. With a more aggressive look than its predecessor, itfeatures a wider front and rear track, a reshaped radiator and splitter, andstriking LED headlights.
