Ford F-150 Quality Assurance: A Brief Pause for Turbocharger Investigation

o uphold its commitment to delivering top-notch vehicles, Ford Australia has implemented a temporary 'stop-sale' for the F-150 pick-up trucks due to suspected turbocharger concerns.

The F-150s, undergoing a transition from left- to right-hand drive by RMA Automotive in Melbourne, faced an unforeseen setback during there manufacturing process.

 

Initiated in late November 2023, the conversion process hit a brief pause after three re-manufactured F-150s raised concerns related to the turbocharger. Ford Australia, prioritising customer safety and satisfaction, decided to proactively place a temporary hold on F-150s that were either en route to dealerships or already in dealer stock.

 

A spokesperson from Ford Australia assured customers that those who have already taken delivery of their F-150s can continue to enjoy their vehicles without any safety concerns. The company is working diligently to investigate and address the turbocharger-related issues promptly.

 

While acknowledging the inconvenience caused to customers awaiting their F-150 deliveries, Ford Australia expressed gratitude for their understanding and patience during this unexpected situation.
